Writrex SEO is operated by Writrex. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Writrex SEO webpage auditing service.

Information we process

When an audit is requested, we process the public webpage URL submitted to the service and the publicly available content returned by that webpage. This may include page titles, metadata, headings, links, images, structured data and visible text.

When you create or access an account, we process your email address, verification status, session information, credit balance and relevant account activity required to provide and secure the service.

Our hosting infrastructure may also process limited technical information, such as IP addresses, timestamps, request paths, response status codes and user-agent information, for security, reliability, rate limiting and troubleshooting.

The one-page website preview uses an opaque, secure browser cookie and a truncated network address to enforce eligibility and protect the service from abuse. The cookie does not contain an email address, audit result or credit balance.

How we use information

We use this information to perform requested SEO audits, return results, operate user accounts and credit balances, protect the service from abuse, diagnose technical problems and improve service reliability.

Email authentication

Writrex SEO uses passwordless email sign-in. When you request access, we may send a time-limited, one-time link to the submitted email address. Sign-in tokens are stored in hashed form and cannot be reused after successful verification.

Data retention

Writrex SEO does not intentionally create permanent profiles from submitted webpage content. Account, transaction, security and audit records may be retained where required to operate the service, maintain accurate balances, prevent fraud, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.

For website previews, the complete report is returned to the browser and is not stored in the preview entitlement record. Limited operational metadata, including the submitted URL, audit status, issue counts and truncated network address, may be retained for up to 30 days to enforce the free-audit limit and investigate abuse.

Limited server and security logs may be retained for operational, security and legal purposes and deleted or rotated according to our hosting practices.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by infrastructure, email, payment and platform providers that help us operate and secure the service, or disclosed when required by law.

Public webpages and third parties

The service accesses webpages selected by users. Those webpages and services such as ChatGPT have their own privacy practices, which are not controlled by Writrex.

Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards including encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted network access, rate limits, hashed authentication tokens, revocable sessions and protections against access to private network addresses.

Your choices

Do not submit a URL if you are not authorized to access or audit it. You may disconnect Writrex SEO through your ChatGPT connector settings. For account or privacy requests, contact us using the address below.
